The show last night was so much fun in Terryville at Baldwin Park. One of my favorite parts of the show (aside from how much the kids laughed and had a great time) was afterwards when the kids and the parents came up to interact and talk with us. One young lady, her name was Maria, came up to me (she has Down Syndrome) and she gave me a big hug and kisses. I was like, “Mariaaaaaa! I just met a girl named Mariaaaaa!” Her mom told me, “If all the people in the world were like her we’d be a lot better off.” I love that. I love meeting parents. And I love meeting kids. There are a lot of wonderful people in this world. I was sad when I got home and I learned the news about Robin Williams. But – the only way we can fill his void is by making others laugh and by sharing the whimsy and what is wonderful about the world with others and with our kids.
Also – if you are in Plymouth, please go to the Local Scoop. Shu and I got some ice cream after the show and it was fantastic. Go there. It is awesome.
Special thanks to the The Terryville Public Library (Ms. Elise, you rock!), the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, Bristol Hospital and Beacon Prescriptions of Terryville for sponsoring the show last night. It wouldn’t have happened without your support.
