17 Dec Movement and Music
I love to run. And I love to exercise. When I was a kid I struggled with exercise. I was terrible at sports. I would never be picked for sports teams at recess. And I really wasn’t a dedicated sports fan. For these reasons I had a lot of trouble making friends growing up in a sports-oriented town.
I was also very hyperactive. A lot of people did not understand my behavior. I spent a lot of time at home watching T.V. I had no way to really exercise my energy in a healthy way. People found my behavior annoying or disruptive and that didn’t lead to making a lot of friends.
Now I exercise on a regular basis. And I have so much self-confidence because of it. I just got back from the gym and I feel wonderful. Exercise helps me clear my mind. It helps me focus on my goals. And I love to listen to music when I work out. It energizes me – especially when I run. I have a very hard time running without music. I also think about my wife and my son when I am working out and I feel so dedicated to taking the best care of them and being there for them. I want to be healthy. And I want to be here in the long run.
We hope you and your family get more opportunities to be active together. But if it’s raining, snowing or there isn’t an opportunity to get outside we created this video for Clap My Happy Hands.
